It has come to our attention that email messages are circulating that resemble
CSIeSafe notification messages which are sent to our customers when their
e-mail statements are ready for viewing. Please be advised that these messages
may contain links to malicious websites. The emails appear to be sent from CSI
email addresses; however, we have confirmed that these messages are originating
from illicit sources outside of the CSI network.
The primary way to identify one of these messages is to hover the mouse over
the linkbut please DO NOT click the link. As shown in the picture
below, the address listed in the pop-up will not match the link embedded in the
body of the email*. Since this is a key indicator of a suspicious message, the
link is likely malicious.
If you receive one of these messages, please do not click on any links, and
delete the message immediately. If you have one that you are not sure about, do
not use the links within the email. Rather, open your web browser and type
www.csiesafe.com. Then you can sign in and verify whether or not you received a
new secure message. If you have any questions, please contact us at
*The originating source IP address, spoofed email address and links have
numerous variations circulating.
